wrap it up
For the last years of my life I went to Moscow, Russia to visit the U.S.S.R. leader and Great Brittain's leader. We signed a treaty to stop nuclear testing. I then went to Texas to make sure I got their votes in the 1964 election, even though the secret services advised me not. I felt that getting Texas' votes was vital. When I arrived in Texas I got in a convertabble car with Jackie and Governor John Connaly. It was hot outside so I decided not to use the bullet proof protective bubble. We drove down a street very slowly... and then bang, a bullet hits me in the neck. Then another bullet hit me in the head. I would've slumped down out of the way of the last bullet that kills me but my back brace made me sit up straight.

Why I did it
I decided to run for congress and president because my life was off track. I just got back from world war 2 and I didn't have a job. My Father wanted me to get into politics so I went to Standford University to study law. When I ran for president, I felt like I needed to lead America in the right direction.
What's the big deal
The reason I'm famous is because I was first elected to congress in 1946 which was my first hurdle to jump. Then I decided to run for president for the Democrats and on November 8, 1960 I won! I became the 35th US president! Soon I began passing laws to equal rights for African Americans who were terribly mistreated. I also began to work with the Peace Corps. and then I started America in the space race and so we eventually beat the Russians! Then Cuba became a communist country and Russia began putting nuclear weapons in Cuba. The US became frightened so I negotiated with the Russians. They took their nuclear weapons out of Cuba and we took our weapons out of Turkey. And in 1963 I gave a speech against Communism at the Berlin wall.
my childhood
I was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. My parents were Joe Kennedy and Rose Kennedy. In February of 1920, I caught Scarlet fever and the only reason I got in the hospital was because of my father's position in power. As a child I loved to read. My favorite book was King Arthur and the Round Table. In 1943 I served in World WarII and the PT boat I was captain of blew up! The surviving crew and I swam to a nearby island where we convinced the natives to help us. The college I attended was Harvard Univeristy.

My Life
Hi my name is John F. Kennedy and I'm the president of the U.S.A. Many people don't know I am a civil rights activist. I started America in the space race, and I constantly get sick. I was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline Massachusetts. I contracted scarlet fever in February 1920 and because of that I get sick a lot (for all my life and still do). In 1953 I married Jaqueline Bouvier (Jackie). We have two kids named Caroline and John Jr. And finally in 1960 I became the US president!
